Frank Lloyd Wright Hoffman Rug The work of Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is known worldwide as pivotal to the development of modern architecture. Through an understanding of our relationship with the natural world, Wright’s designs were inspired by organic forms. Max Hoffman, an automobile importer, commissioned Wright to design a house in Rye, NY and a dealership in New York City. Bold circles and squares were the carpet design for the Hoffman living room. Although the rug was not executed in 1957 for that home, after Wright’s death it was woven for Wright’s home at Taliesin in Spring Green, WI. Frank Lloyd Wright 1867-1959 Hoffman Rug ®/©/™ FLWF
